BACKGROUND DETAILS FOR MEMBERS OF SHELTER ROCK

2024 UUA General Assembly (GA)

The Unitarian Universalist Association’s (UUA) General Assembly [GA] is the annual gathering of Unitarian Universalists from across North America. The 2024 General Assembly will be a virtual (online) event from Thursday, June 20 through Sunday, June 23. UUCSR members will have the opportunity to participate virtually at home on their computers or other device connected to the internet. There are online workshops, lectures, and discussions where attendees learn and explore the issues that interest and motivate UUs. Worship Services provide opportunities to experience worship in many different forms. Delegates are rewarded with greater vision of who and what we are as a religious group. GA inspires and motivates us to be more active in our own congregation and on the district and denominational levels. Delegates will represent our congregation, participating in discussions, and voting on the proposed new Article II with any amendments and other matters. (For information on Article II, read a brief blog post by UUCSR member Rick Schwartz HERE.

CONSIDER BEING A DELEGATE!

Delegates will be registered directly by the Shelter Rock Finance staff.
If you have never attended GA before and wish to register as a non-delegate, the Denominational Affairs Committee will reimburse your registration fee.
Other members who wish to attend the virtual GA as non-delegates will need to complete their own registration with the UUA.

Registration includes access to General Assembly 2024, as well as on-demand programming, featured speakers, and major worship services. Whether you attend as a delegate or general participant, please see the Board approved GA Guidelines and Application Form located at the Welcome Desk or HERE. To submit a UUCSR General Assembly Registration Application, visit uucsr.org/24GA. The deadline has been extended to March 1, 2024.
