I earned a BA degree in English and a Masters in English Education at the City College of New York. After graduation, I taught at Aviation High School in Long Island City for 21 years. Then I took early retirement when I married. At that time, we adopted a baby but I still wanted to teach. I then worked part time as an adjunct in the City College system, as well as in some local private Long Island colleges. Courses I taught included English literature and composition, Speech, Phonetics and Computer Skills for business majors.
I have been writing for the Green Sanctuary Committee since its inception. I hope to continue to educate people about environmental issues.
