The following is a statement from Rev. Dr. Natalie Fenimore: “Our prayers go out to the people of Iran and Israel as their governments engage in war. With the bombing by the US of Iranian nuclear plants our country has joined in the battle. Of course, this leaves Americans anxious and fearful–and perhaps divided as well. We must remember that we can be united in our wishes for peace, even if we do not agree on the righteousness of everything happening right now. May there be de-escalation and cease fire. As we call for peace, may we remember the words of Martin Luther King, Jr. to the world:
We must live together as brothers or perish together as fools.”
