To quote Martin Luther King,

“No work is insignificant. All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence.”

During our pandemic lockdown there was a wider understanding and appreciation of the “essential worker” – how often were you made aware of the needed, and often life-saving work of those taken-for granted or under-appreciated workers – those caregivers, grocery workers, delivery people? Let’s not forget all that the “essential workers” did for us and our communities in a time of extreme need.

May we remember to honor and respect all those who labor.
