Worship and Music
Our program includes regular opportunities for worship for different age groups and intergenerational audiences. Once a month a portion of the service in the Worship Room is devoted to intergenerational worship. Additionally, there are three holiday services during the year when the entire congregation worships together, and the annual year-end Bridging Sunday followed by an intergenerational picnic. We also provide regular opportunities for children's worship in the Chapel. Families are invited to attend the monthly Friday evening Soulful Sundown services, too.
Music is an important part of our program. Our children's choir and youth orchestra perform regularly for intergenerational services. Danielle McRoy directs the Young People's Choir and Frank Doyle and Bobby Perina are co-directors of the Shelter Rock Jazz Orchestra. Both of these groups rehearse on Sunday mornings, the choir in the Chapel at 10:00 AM and the orchestra in the Music Rehearsal Room at 9:45 AM.
