How much does the pledge drive need to raise this year?
We need to raise approximately $250,00.00 to fund the congregation's programs.

When does the pledge drive begin and end?
The pledge drive for the 2007-2008 fiscal year began in March. We are still receiving pledges for the current fiscal year.

Shelter Rock has lots of money, so why do I need to pledge at all?
Shelter Rock's programs and ministries are funded entirely through pledges. Failure to raise sufficient funds may result in cuts for activities covered by the program budget.

If I don't pledge, will I still be a member?
No. Members are required to make a pledge and payment on that pledge in order to maintain membership and voting privileges.

I am experiencing financial difficulties and am unable to pledge at this time. Will I lose my membership?
Any member unable to pledge may speak with a minister to maintain their membership.

What does the program budget include?
It includes many of Shelter Rock's programs and ministries including, but not limited to religious education, adult programs, social justice outreach, art activities, pastoral care, small group ministry, etc.

How much should I give?
We suggest 2% of one's gross income. The ministers and many members of the congregation give at that level. Ultimately, your own contribution should be a reflection of the importance of Shelter Rock in your life and the hopes and dreams you have for our congregation.

What's the best way to pay my pledge?
Pledges may be paid by check or credit card. You may also make a payment on-line through this web site.

Forms are available in the Lobby at Shelter Rock and you may also make a pledge on-line.
